Dear MGCI Parents/Guardians/Caregivers/Students:

It’s been another busy week at MGCI! We have sports teams starting up and clubs and organizations preparing for the Clubs Fair on September 28, field trips starting and classes are in full swing. I had the pleasure of meeting with the Muslim Student’s Association and seeing the Robotics Team prepare for competition and both groups are wonderful examples of the energy and leadership that Garneau students regularly demonstrate!

Guidance has completed their review of student timetables and change requests and class lists have now stabilised. Students requesting Semester 2 changes should book an appointment with their guidance counsellor using the form in the google classrooms (codes below in this newsletter).

We look forward to welcoming our Grade 9 families to the school for next week’s Grade 9 Curriculum Night at 7pm. See the poster here for more information. The evening is a great time to learn about Grade 9 courses and opportunities for students both academically and through extra curricular activities.

Have a great weekend Garneau!

Gillian Evans, Principal

Please note that we will be scheduling final Exams and culminating activities for the 2023-24 school year in both January and June.
