Evening of Thursday, May 5, 2022.

Dear Jarvis Families:

We hope that you are well. Students received their midterm report cards on May 2nd.

Communication between families and Jarvis Collegiate staff is an important part of your child’s education, and we look forward to formal opportunities when parents and guardians can meet with teachers to discuss their progress.

Mid-semester Parent-Teacher Interviews will take place virtually.  Please join us for our Parent/Teacher Interview Evening on Thursday, May 5th for virtual interviews from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. We hope that you will be able to schedule interviews during one of these times. We encourage you to bring your child to the interview.

Once again, virtual interviews can be booked on-line: Jarvis School Appointments Online. Bookings will open on Monday, May 2 at noon and close on Thursday, May 5 at noon.

Jarvis prides itself on this reputation of academic excellence and aims to prepare the next generation of community and world leaders.

Jarvis offers a wide range of courses, programs, and extra-curricular activities. As a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (S.T.E.M.) school, the students in our classrooms are engaged in project-based learning. An inquiry method of teaching and learning is utilized as students partake in independent and collaborative studies within the S.T.E.M. fields. Further, our Advanced Placement (A.P.) and Pre-Advanced Placement classes offer students in grades 9-12 an enriched curriculum recognized by the College Board.

Jarvis offers students the opportunity to enroll in our Business Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM). A SHSM is a ministry-approved specialized program that allows students to focus their learning on a specific economic sector while meeting the requirements for the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).  The SHSM also assists students in their transition from secondary school to apprenticeship training, college, university or the workplace.
