School Council

School councils are an excellent way for parents to engage in their child’s education. At Kennedy, our elected school council provides an important forum for parents, staff, students, community members, and the principal to discuss issues that affect student learning and school life. The council includes elected parent, staff, and student representatives, appointed community members, and all parents of Kennedy students as general members. Together, the council advises the principal on a wide range of matters, including student achievement, curriculum priorities, budgeting, school safety, renovation plans, after-school activities, and the criteria for selecting new principals.

We are proud to introduce Ms. Kimberly Kang as the Parent Council Chair at Kennedy Public School. As the mother of two Kennedy students, Ms. Kang is deeply connected to our community and is a strong advocate for parent voice. If you would like to get in touch with her, please contact the school for more information.
