A huge thank you to Mr. Lucas and our Kennedy community for participating in the annual Terry Fox walk/run on Friday, October 3, 2025!
The Terry Fox Run is an annual, non-competitive charity event held around the world to raise funds and awareness for cancer research. It honors the legacy of Terry Fox, a young Canadian hero who, after losing his leg to cancer, set out on a cross-country run in 1980, called the Marathon of Hope, to raise money for cancer research.
Terry believed that every dollar mattered and that ordinary people could make a difference. His goal was to inspire others to continue the fight against cancer, even after he had to stop his run due to the return of the disease.
Terry Fox’s courage, determination, and selflessness continue to inspire millions. The run isn’t just about fundraising, it’s a reminder that one person’s actions can lead to lasting change.
