French

Bonjour from Kennedy!

At Kennedy, most of our students are learning French as their third language and all of them know the advantages of knowing multiple languages as such building self-confidence, having higher levels of cognitive brain function and opening opportunities employment in the future.

Our students from grade 4 to grade 8 have French every day for 40 minutes. The grade 4 to 6 students are developing their French speaking and listening skills through the use of AIM (Accelerated Integrated Method). Students are learning new vocabulary words/sentences through the use of hand gestures and movements. Students' writing and reading skills are developed through different activities and use of resources. The use of technology (e.g. classroom websites with audio/visuel files) also motivates and facilitates French learning at Kennedy.

Bon courage!
