Application for Optional Attendance at a Secondary School Outside the Resident Area
Strong Academic Program
Prepares students for University, College, Apprenticeship or Work.
Includes the full complement of courses in English, Math, Science, Health and Physical Education, Performing Arts, Social Studies, Technologies.
Extra support for students include Guidance, Special Education, Child and Youth Counsellor, Child and Youth Worker, Focus on Success Teacher, Student Success Teacher, Ministry of Education Special Project to ensure higher success rates.
Unique integrated curricular initiative that focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics.
this initiative is in it’s second semester of implementation in grades 9 – 12 (S.T.E.A.M.)
A wide range of athletics and other extra curricular programs organized by a well co-ordinated student leadership team.
Special Enriched Program – Math, Science and Technology – Masters
Entrance exam for incoming grade 9s. Courses are in grade 9, 10 and 11. This program will be expanded to grade 12 in September 2012. Two major themes are: Biotechnologies and Robotic Engineering.
New For 2012
ESL/ELL Program in levels A to E.
Performing Arts Program will include Music and Computers (recording studio), Guitar, Dance and Drama.
Future Program Planning
This will include the implementation of an Advanced Placement Program (AP).
