What Does DMCI Students Services Do?
In late August, we welcome all future Grade Nines to attend (MOU) MOVING ON UP, an opportunity to register and receive timetables as well as attend an orientation session that helps grade nine students adjust to high school. This was a great success again this year. We run this special program every year for incoming Grade Nine students. We also have our Post-secondary Pathways fair in the fall where all the universities, colleges and other opportunities are presented by delegates for students to be thinking about their future choices. We’re hoping that our students do research and ask the reps relevant questions that will ease their stress levels and help them make informed and confident decisions. We usually have more than 30 university, college, apprenticeship and GAP experience reps. It is always a fantastic day and the start of dreams and plans for many of our students to find out more.
We host an After 8 Open House Night showcasing our dynamic high school program including special programming for CyberArts and Gifted. If you missed this opportunity and would like more information, please contact Student Services at (416) 395-3192 #20040 to arrange a visit. Students who do not live in our area can apply to attend DMCI through optional attendance. You can request a hard copy at your current school. The CyberArts program conducts interviews for this specialized program and further information can be obtained in guidance about entrance procedures.
So, lots is happening to support our students at DMCI. Your learners belong here!
