Business Certificate

Students will be granted a Business Certificate at graduation if they can show that they have shown a concentration in Business Studies.

This can be obtained by showing a minimum of four Business credits and one other credit in either Law, Economics or Business Interdisciplinary Studies.

This course introduces students to information and communication technology in a business environment and builds a foundation of digital literacy skills necessary for success in a technologically driven society.

 

Students will develop word processing, spreadsheet, database, desktop publishing, presentation software, and website design skills.

 

Throughout the course, there is an emphasis on digital literacy, effective electronic research and communication skills, and current issues related to the impact of information and communication technology.

This course teaches students how to develop and achieve personal goals in education and work and contribute to their communities.

Student learning will include assessing their own knowledge, skills, and characteristics and investigating economic trends, workplace organization, work opportunities, and ways to search for work.

Through hands-on experiences, students will have opportunities to develop the values, traits, and skills most often associated with successful entrepreneurs.
