Absences
If you miss an exam, you must present a medical certificate stating why you were unable to be present for the exam. A medical certificate must be dated on the same day as the missed exam and must say that the doctor is aware that an exam was missed and the student was unable to write. In a serious family emergency, the Principal or Vice-Principal must be contacted.
Conflict
Carefully examine your own evaluation periods on this schedule, noting the date and time of each evaluation. Report any conflicts immediately to your Vice-Principal. An exam conflict occurs when two evaluations are scheduled at the same time. It is your responsibility to be in the correct place at the correct time for each of your evaluations.
Admission
You are not allowed to enter an examination room until the teacher-in-charge admits you.
Books
Return course textbooks according to your teacher’s instructions.
Notes
Leave all textbooks, notes, and school bags in front of the class room while you write an examination.Leave cell phones and other valuable electronics in your locker OR your bag. Please ensure cell phones are switched off.
Lateness
If you arrive late for an examination, you will be admitted to the exam, but will not be given extra time for writing.
Academic
Be sure that you practice academic integrity and honesty. Remember that the following actions are not allowed during an exam:
1) communicating with another student; 2) providing material for another student; 3) Looking at another student’s work; 4) copying another student’s work; 5) bringing unauthorized material into the exam room; and 6) possessing unauthorized aids. The supervising teacher will report these incidents to the Principal or Vice-Principal for investigation.
Talking
You must not talk to other students from the beginning of the exam until all examinations have been collected at the conclusion of the scheduled time.If you talk during an exam, you will be presumed to be cheating and may be assigned a mark of (0) for the full exam.
IEPs
The head of Special Education, or the subject teacher, will speak to students with IEP’s. If you asked for an accommodation, your teacher will tell you the room number in which you will write your exam. Also, these rooms will be posted in the main foyer during the exam period.
