Special Education

Special Education support is available to any student with an Identification Placement Review Committee (IPRC) designation and/or an Individual Education Plan (IEP).  Special Education support is available through the Learning Strategies (GLE) courses.GLE credits are part of the student’s timetable, and are offered in grades 9-12.  These courses are designed to help students understand  the content presented in various subjects, as well as enhance organization, time management, study skills, self-advocacy, thinking, problem-solving, career awareness, and social skills.

The Special Education Resource Centre is located in Room 310. Students can access individual support as needed. Room 310 has desktop computers as well as laptops available for student use and is regularly open during lunch and after school. Students can check for posted hours.
