Settlement Services are available in our school for newcomer families (less than 5 years in Canada). Our settlement worker can provide orientation, guidance and overall support to parents and students helping them to settle and adjust in their new life in Canada. Some examples of settlement services include: interpretation and translation of documents or help to arrange these services, assistance filling out forms and applications, help with registration for English classes, finding jobs, training and/or volunteer opportunities, and information about community services, schools, health care, housing and recreation. Students are invited to participate in the ‘Chilling Club’ every Thursday at lunch which will also take place starting in January after school.
