Dining room food waste from plates and cups is weighed after each meal. The goal is to have under 15 grams of waste per person. Some
schools do reach the ideal of zero waste.
The amount of water used per person is recorded each morning. Students and staff are encouraged to keep their water use to a minimum.
Students are updated on how they are doing in all aspects of the eco-challenge during meals. They can also compare themselves to their school's eco-challenge from the previous year.
