Tree Planting and caring for these trees happens each year on our property. We plant species native to our area like white pine and eastern white cedar.
One major project was to plant trees for energy conservation near Dolomite dorm. We planted red oaks for shade, white spruce and cedars to block the wind. Students from Ryerson Community School, Annette Street MS and Lawrence Heights MS helped. We also started a tree nursery to grow trees for the next phase of our energy conservation planting for Sandstone dorm.
