Kindergarten Music: An Overview
OVERALL EXPECTATIONS
By the end of the Full-Day Early Learning–Kindergarten program, children will:
M1. demonstrate an awareness of themselves as musicians through engaging in music activities;
M2. demonstrate basic knowledge and skills gained through exposure to music and music activities;
M3. use problem-solving strategies when experimenting with the skills, materials, processes, and techniques used in music both individually and with others;
M4. express responses to a variety of forms of music, including those from other cultures;
M5. communicate their ideas through music.
