If you live outside of our area...

Dr. Norman Bethune C.I.’s Out-of-Area Admissions status for 2025-2026 is Limited (Siblings or Feeder School). This is a change from previous years. Please read below for more information.

Who can apply to Out-of-Area Admissions at Bethune?

You can apply for Bethune’s Out-of-Area Admissions ONLY if you are in either:

Sibling Priority, (Priority 1)

Students who have a sibling currently attending Bethune and that sibling will still be attending the requested school the next school year. This priority will only apply when the older sibling is attending the requested secondary school as of September 2022. 

or

Feeder School (Priority 2)

Students currently attending a feeder school in the same program as the application to the requested school (i.e. in Regular program if applying to Regular program). 

Here are the Steps to Apply for Out-of-Area Admissions:

Apply for Out-of-Area Admissions if you do not live in the Bethune Area and you are in either of the priorities listed above, Sibiling Priority or Feeder School Priority.

1. Submit the TDSB Out-of-Area Admissions application Online.
   • The application is now completely online through the TDSB website. Online application form is open from January 6 to January 24, 2025 at 4 p.m.
2. There will be 3 rounds of admissions offers.

Round 1

• Families to be informed of the status of the application on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 before the end of the day.
• Families must confirm acceptance of the offer by Tuesday, February 18 at 4 p.m.

Round 2

• Families to be updated on the status of the application on Wednesday February 19, 2025.
• Families must confirm acceptance of the offer by Tuesday, February 25 at 4 p.m.

Final Round

• Families to be updated of the final status of the application on Wednesday February 26, 2025.
• Families must confirm acceptance of the offer by Friday, February 28 at 4 p.m.
• All waitlists expire at the end of the day on February 26, 2025.

TDSB Students must finalize their acceptance by completing and submitting the corresponding course selection for the accepted school on www.myblueprint.ca/tdsb no later than Monday, March 3, 2025.
