Welcome- Joanne welcomed everyone to the meeting and moved to accept April minutes. Ijeoma moved, Paul seconded, everyone in favour.

There will be a final meeting on June 8 to tie up all loose ends for the year.

Principal’s Report- Paul went over the written report that was handed out.
Treasurer – still waiting for QSP money

- grad photo – will pay for and give to all kids / $10 per composite
- Joanne has request for life jacket $204.75
- Need to pay grad scholarships – approx. $200
- Staff appreciation
- Staff departures – how many?
- Summer camp – need to meet and discuss spending criteria
- Dale needs last installment to budget - $1000
- Still have $ coming in.

Foundation – in Michele’s absence, Joanne advised of name change for Foundation. It will now be called “Sunny View Kids Association”.

Fundraising- guidelines for next year to be reviewed. 

- need flyer for order form to let parents know deadline dates. Cheques to be made out to SV school council. Ijeoma will do form.
- Notice will be put in “looking ahead”

Grants – Sara Farrell will be meeting with Joanne regarding the parent reaching out grant.

- parents night – tie into reaching out grant.


Staff Appreciation Day – June 1, pa day. Food will arrive on May 30 or 31. Dale will contribute Jam.

Joanne – bagels, cream cheese, fruit platters
Susan Deokie – re: staff departures, Joanne to do frames.


Next Meeting – Graduation

- Volunteer Appreciation Tea
- Communication lab/health care
- Tape the flash mob?
- Clearer explanations of events beyond title and date.
