Currently, we are developing a Life Skills Program for some of our students.  One of our rooms will be used as an experiential learning center where students will have the opportunity to learn and practice life skills and independence.  Students will use teamwork, cooperation, and communication skills to set a table, prepare snacks or simple meals, do laundry, fold clothes, and tidy up.  Budgeting and money skills will be taught through our “grocery store”.  Whenever possible, students will be encouraged to practice these skills throughout the school and at home to promote generalization of learning and increased independence.
