Tuesday, August 27 2019 9AM-1PM - Head Start To High School - We welcome our new grade 9s into the school for an opportunity to meet new friends, teachers and  learn more about school life at LCI!

Wednesday, August 28 2019 5PM-7PM - Grade 9 Welcome BBQ - We welcome the newest members of the LCI community to the school for a BBQ prepared by Woody's! Grade 9 students and parents are invited for a free BBQ and an opportunity to meet some teachers and administrators.

The Lakeshore Pantry will be open Mondays and Wednesdays after school from 3:15-3:45 beside room 108 next to the Quad(Square)



About Lakeshore:
Lakeshore Collegiate Institute (LCI) provides opportunities for you to enrich personal and academic achievement by providing a demanding curriculum that incorporates academics with the arts, technology, co-op and athletics. LCI is a dynamic school with a wide offering of programs for every student. 

 

Unique to LCI, in addition to our broad academic curriculum, is an extensive technology program called Centre of Innovation for Skills and Technology including programs in:

 

  • Construction
  • Cosmetology & Aesthetics
  • Transportation
  • ICT
  • Hospitality & Tourism

Applications are required for access to the CyberARTS, AP, and the CIST (Centre of Innovation for Skills and Technology) WoodLINKS (fine furniture), CyberARTS, graphic design, photography and video production.

All students are invited to participate in our extra-curricular activities. The bantam, junior and senior level teams compete in a variety of sports such as football, volleyball, basketball, soccer, hockey, cricket, tennis, golf, baseball, cross-country, track and field and wresting. There is a wide array of clubs, including FIRST Robotics, environmental, poetry, student leadership and student council to name but a few, providing something for everyone. LCI has an excellent intramural program that recently earned provincial recognition.  The access to the Sports Dome provides student with year-round access to field sports including soccer, football, lacrosse, and the like.
