In the social sciences, students have the opportunity to explore human behaviour. Topics students will examine include the functions of the mind, cultures, media, food, families, groups, as well as human development and thinking using anthropological, psychological, sociological, philosophical and scientific lenses.
Students will engage in both primary research (observations, experiments, interviews, labs) and secondary research (research reports, essays, seminars, peer-to-peer instruction). They will conduct independent studies and investigations into topics of their liking as well as those that are curriculum-based. These courses offer students hands-on experiences in to the work of social scientists.
