We're excited to welcome all new Grade 9 students to be a part of our brand new Leadership Program.

For years, Etobicoke Collegiate Students have benefited from the strong White Pine Leadership Program, and that spirit has continued with students throughout the school year and their time at ECI.

Leadership and learning go hand-in-hand, and we know that the leadership opportunities consistently offered at ECI have been an important part of our students' educational experience.

Knowing this, we have decided to formalize our leadership offering with the introduction of the Etobicoke Collegiate Leadership Program.  This five-streamed program offers curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular components in Academics, Athletics, The Arts, Sports, and Social Justice/Citizenship.

At Etobicoke Collegiate's Leadership program we will be focusing on the Emotional Intelligence leadership development popularized by Daniel Goleman:

"Self - Awareness - understanding our own moods and emotions, and understanding their impact on our work and on others.
Self- Regulation - thinking before we act and controlling otherwise disruptive impulses.
Motivation - working hard with persistence and for reasons other than money and status.
Empathy - understanding the emotions of others and using this understanding to better relate to them.
