Support for Learning

Here at TCI, our Special Education program whether it be the Autism Program or a GLE program, we focus on the needs of the individual students. The Course looks at skills needed to be successful in school and beyond.  Every student is different and learns differently, therefore our programming is individualised to meet the needs of all students. Our Program/courses are equity based by students having access to all school supports and resources.  Student needs are also met based on their IEP through various accommodations.  Our Program/courses are highly structured. We strive to provide students with skills they need to be independent and responsible learners, as well as provide real life experiences to help students face the real world.

Gifted and Enriched Program

We offer a Gifted program for students in grades 9 and 10 who have the exceptionality of Giftedness. Parents of students with this exceptionality will be made an Offer of Placement at the Individual Placement Review Committee Meeting (IPRC) in grade 8 for their student.

We offer an Enriched Learning program for students who are high achievers.  Parents and students may apply for the Enriched Learning program.   For more information on how to apply to our Enriched Program, please contact undefined sabrina.d'addamio@tdsb.on.ca 416- 394-7710 x 20044.

Autism Spectrum Disorder Intensive Support Program

We have an Intensive Support Program (ISP) for students with the exceptionality of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).  Students with exceptionality of ASD are placed in this program through the Individual Placement Review Committee (IPRC) process usually done in the student’s grade 8 year.
