Principal’s Message

Dear Woburn Parents and Families,

On behalf of our staff, I am so excited to welcome our Woburn students back into our school on September 7th. This year, regular day classes will begin at 9:00 am and the school day will end at 3:15 pm. Lunch will be from 11:40am to 12:40pm. Students may opt to bring a packed lunch to eat in our school cafeteria if they choose not to go outside to purchase food nor return home for lunch.

I would also like to express a warm welcome to our incoming grade 9 students. In accordance with TDSB initiatives, all grade nine students will receive a computer device to use during their time at Woburn. More information about the distribution of these electronic devices will follow during the first few weeks of September.

Please be aware that staff meetings and planning meetings will be on Wednesdays (which is consistent among all TDSB schools) and that classes will have a late start on those days.

Students are reminded to enter the school every day through the front doors only. Parents wishing to drop their child off at school are asked to please use the Drop Off Lane at the side of the school. To ensure student safety, please do not drop your child off at the front doors of the school.

Finally, I wish to inform you that the student registration fee for the 2022-2023 school year is $50.00, and we ask that parents pay this fee electronically using the TDSB School Cash Online system set up for Woburn student fees. The student fee includes: a Woburn Yearbook ($30); Woburn water-bottle ($10); Extracurricular participation ($5); and Co-curricular participation ($5).

In closing, our Staff are excited to be back and are looking forward to teaching, supporting, and encouraging students throughout the 2022-2023 school year! I am confident that it will be an enriching learning experience for your child.

Sincerely,

Neil Dyal
