Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,
As was the case for Quad 3, Westview has been able to support in person and virtual classes with the same teacher on alternating days as well as support those students in the central TDSB Virtual School. If you want to keep the same mode of learning as you are currently in (online with Westview, in-person with Westview or online with the central school) please take no action and we will keep you in the same mode for Q4. Q4 is going to start on April 23, 2021.
If you would like to change the way you are learning please see below and submit by Tuesday, March 23 so we can make necessary arrangements.
Switching from In-Person to Virtual Learning
Students currently registered for in-person learning schools who would like to switch to the virtual mode l must submit a response by Tuesday, March 23, 2021 through the following Google Form https://forms.gle/uvvmLejS71w3VkwG8 Â .This change would take effect at the start of Quad 4 on April 23, 2021. Schools will prepare and finalize models in the coming days, as we get a better sense of the number of students interested in learning virtually. Specific information will be shared by your school ahead of the start of Quad 4. Please note that all requests from students wishing to switch to a virtual option at their in-person school will be accommodated. However, in some cases, changes to desired courses in a specific quad may be required to align with availability and course offerings.
Switching from the Virtual School to In-Person Learning
Students who are currently registered in the Virtual Secondary School and would like to return to in-person learning must contact the guidance counsellor at the in-person school by Tuesday, March 23, 2021, to see if a timetable can be created for the specific courses they have requested for Quad 4. If a timetable can be created, a transfer to the in-person school will be facilitated. Please note that space may be limited, and a transfer may not be possible.
