Pine Crest is known for challenging leadership programs and a deep commitment to developing skills for individuals able to return home and contribute with greater impact in their home communities. As well as participating in a wide variety of activities (including archery, canoeing, high and low ropes activities, hiking, outdoor education in general and loads of fun games) friendships and leadership skills are fostered while students get to experience some of Canada’s most stunning wilderness landscapes. The activities at camp are designed to help young people feel more confident about engaging in diverse and sometimes unfamiliar situations where they can develop self-confidence and leadership abilities by tackling skill development, responsibilities and problem-solving situations many may never have taken on before. Through these activities and successes students gain a feeling of trust in their personal own abilities, which can push them forward to more success in everyday life.
