Guidance At Downsview

In Guidance we support students in all areas: career exploration, emotional and social, and planning pathways that lead to post-secondary education and employment.  At Downsview S.S. we have 3 Guidance counsellors, 2 Child and Youth Care Workers, 1 Child and Youth Counsellor, and a TDSB Social Worker to support our students’ needs.

How do I make an appointment with a Guidance Counsellor?

All students are asked to make an appointment with the Guidance Office Administrator (Ms. Valdes) before school, at lunch, or afterschool and at that time they will receive a blue slip with the time, date, and their Counsellors name.  If it is an urgent matter that requires immediate attention, a counsellor will be available for the student to seek support.
